Set up a sync configuration
Supplier lists, customer lists, chart of accounts and tax codes all live in your accounting system and change rarely. This keeps them current without a workflow.

02 · Why
Why do we have this?
Supplier lists, customer lists, chart of accounts and tax codes all live in your accounting system and change rarely. Copying them by hand is tedious and goes stale. This keeps them current without a workflow.

04 · Expected result
The configuration appears in the list under the connection, showing the record type, the direction, the destination as Workspace/Table, how many fields are mapped, and a schedule.
05 · Troubleshooting
The wizard shows placeholders in curly brackets
Every entity row reads with unrendered braces around the provider and product names. It is a display fault. The direction it is trying to tell you is inbound — from your accounting system into Merchaint.
"Select Recommended" selects everything
It does exactly the same as Select All. There is no curated shortlist, so choose the record types yourself.
06 · Notes
Check the suggestions rather than trusting them
Merchaint pre-fills what it can, using real sample values from your accounting system so you can see what you are matching. It is a good starting point and it does get things wrong — in our testing it proposed an unrelated column, and it mapped a QuickBooks customer into Vendor Name and Vendor ID on an invoice.
Anything left on skip is simply not copied
That is a legitimate choice for fields you do not need.
The destination can be any workspace
The workspace picker lists every workspace in the organization, not just the one the connection belongs to — see Connections belong to a workspace.
The wizard never asks about direction or schedule
Everything it creates is inbound, on the same 15-minute cycle.
