Integrations
Link Merchaint to Xero or QuickBooks, bring records in and send them back out, and check what actually synced.

If you just work with records
What a record's sync state means
Open a connected table and the INTEGRATION column tells you, one record at a time, whether that record and your accounting system agree.
The Sync button on a table
Connected tables have a Sync button in the header. It is the quickest way to move records without opening Settings or building anything.
Connecting
Connect Xero or QuickBooks
Connecting links one accounting company to one Merchaint workspace. You sign in at your accounting system, allow access, and come back.
Connections belong to a workspace
A connection is not shared across your whole organization. It belongs to the workspace that was selected when you made it — which is why the page sometimes looks blank.
When a connection goes Degraded or Error
A connection is not just on or off. It has three states, and two of them mean it needs attention — but the button that fixes them is safe.
Turn QuickBooks pulls off and on
Each QuickBooks connection has a switch labelled QBO sync. Turning it off stops Merchaint pulling anything from that company, without disconnecting.
Realtime sync with webhooks
Normally Merchaint pulls on a schedule, so changes arrive within minutes. A webhook flips that around: your accounting system tells Merchaint the moment something changes.
Bringing records in
Two ways to bring records in
Merchaint has two separate ways to bring records from your accounting system into a table. Both work. They are set up in different places, and neither one knows about the other.
Set up a sync configuration
A sync configuration says: take this kind of record from my accounting system, and keep it in this Merchaint table. You build one in a four-step wizard.
Change or remove a sync configuration
Each configuration in the list has three small icons: run it, edit it, delete it. None of them is labelled, and one of them deletes.
Run a sync and what happens next
Pressing the run icon on a configuration pulls records from your accounting system straight away — and the first manual run is what starts the schedule.
Sending records out
Sending records to your accounting system
Pushing sends a Merchaint record out to Xero or QuickBooks — a checked and approved bill arriving as a bill in your accounts. Both ways of doing it are set up in Workflows.
Why a record didn't reach your accounting system
Pushes fail for a small number of reasons, and Merchaint records the reason against the run. Almost always it is a mapping problem, not a connection problem.
Checking it works
Checking integration health
Every connection has a Sync Status page: how much has run, how much worked, and every run in detail. It is the one screen that answers "is this working?" with numbers rather than a badge.
Reading sync history
Below the figures on the Sync Status page is every run on that connection, newest first. It is the audit trail.
