02 · Why
Why do we have this?
Columns pile up. A module built from a template starts with fifteen or more, and a schema merge can add more. Column Manager is where you get them back into a sensible order and put the ones nobody uses out of sight.
03 · How
Tidy up a module
- Open
More→Column Manager. - Drag a column by its handle to move it. The order here is the order on the record page.
- Use the toggle to show or hide a column in the grid.
- Press the settings icon on a column to open its full settings.
- Press the bin to delete it — read the warning first.
Use the search box at the top when the list is long.
04 · Expected result
The record page and the grid follow the order and visibility you set, for everyone in the workspace.
05 · Troubleshooting / notes
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Line item columns have no toggle | They're always shown. Hide the whole table instead — see below. |
| A column reappears after hiding it | You hid it in the grid, not on the record. They're separate. |
| I can't drag a line item column into Record Fields | You can't. They're different kinds of column. |
