01 · Why
Why do we have this?
This is the whole point of workspaces. An accountancy firm can have twenty people in the organization and give each one only the clients they work on. See Organizations and workspaces.
02 · How
Manage workspace access
- Go to Settings → Members and open the Workspaces tab.
- Find the workspace and use its actions to manage who belongs to it.
03 · Expected result
The Workspaces tab lists every workspace with a member count beside it, so you can see at a glance which ones have nobody in them.
04 · Notes
A new colleague sees nothing until you do this
Inviting somebody and giving them a workspace are two separate jobs, and the second is easy to forget. If a new starter says Merchaint is empty, this is almost always why.
Their role still applies
Adding a Viewer to a workspace lets them see it, not change it — see Roles and permissions.
The count is people, not activity
A workspace showing 1 has one person with access.
