Finding your way around
Four parts to the sidebar, two counters that matter, and two keyboard shortcuts worth knowing on day one.
- What is in each part of the sidebar
- The two numbers that are the whole to-do list
- Why the bell can be stuck at 99+ forever
- Where your own settings are, as against the company’s
01 · How
The four parts
| Part | What is in it |
|---|---|
| My Task | Anything waiting for you — approvals, reviews and corrections. Shows a count. |
| Documents | Inbox for everything that arrived; Exceptions for what failed. |
| Records | One entry per module — your tables of data. |
| Configuration | Workflows, Schema Studio, Email Inboxes and Integrations. |
Below those are Settings, an Invite team shortcut, and your own name.
02 · Expected result
The top of the sidebar shows your organization and your role in it — for example Merchaint, owner. Next to it, the workspace switcher shows which workspace you are in.
The bell at the top right shows things that have happened: approvals waiting for you, and summaries of jobs that have finished.
03 · Notes
Numbers on the sidebar are work waiting
A number next to My Task or Exceptions means there is something for a person to look at. Ctrl+B collapses the sidebar to icons and back; Ctrl+K is search from anywhere.
