The document inbox

In this article

Inbox is where every document lands, whichever way it arrived, and where you watch it being read. Most people have this page open all day.

02 · Why

Why do we have this?

Documents arrive from three directions at unpredictable times. One list with a status against each one means you know where things stand instead of guessing. The counts at the top answer the only question most people have — is anything stuck?

03 · How

  1. Open Inbox from the Documents group in the sidebar.
  2. Read the counts at the top. You get a Total, and a number for each state that has something in it.
  3. Filter or search to narrow the list down.
  4. Click a row to open it, or use its menu for View Details, Download or Delete.

04 · Expected result

A list of every document in the workspace, with its name, size, when it arrived and its status. Documents that have been read show their type next to the status. Finished spreadsheet imports show how many records they made and where those went.

06 · FAQ

What's the difference between Failed and Action Required?

Failed means Merchaint could not read the document at all. Action Required means it was read, but something needs you to decide.

Can I act on several documents at once?

No. Each row is handled on its own, through its menu — there is no multi-select or bulk action.

Common questions

Does the list update by itself?

It refreshes as documents move along. If a status looks stale, reload the page.
